Monnit Industrial Activity Sensor
Monnit's industrial wireless activity sensor can be used in a host of applications where detecting vibration, or sudden movement etc. is required. Please review the profile definitions below to select the one that best meets your need. Should one of the profiles not meet your needs, please contact Monnit with your requirements at devteam@monnit.com and they will be reviewed for supportability.
Monnit's industrial wireless activity sensor is available in two profiles. The profile tells the sensor what information to collect and report to the software. Based on your needs, please specify the profile type at the time of order otherwise you will receive Profile 1.
Profile 1: Movement - Sensor detects sudden movement or non-movement of a given device or surface, and alerts you of the change. View Example Sensor Data in iMonnit
Profile 2: Number of Vibrations - Sensor accumulates vibration activity, giving the user an idea of how much activity has occurred. Instead of just indicating that vibration is present, it quantifies the vibration by counting the number of vibrations detected in a user specified time period ("Aware State" time interval). When no vibrations are present, the sensor reports in on its basic heartbeat with a value of 0. View Example Sensor Data in iMonnit
