Generating an Access Token in iMonnit

What are Access Tokens?

An Access Token is a uniquely generated alphanumerical code which will allow a technician access to your iMonnit Account for a specified period of time (24 hours by default). It can be extended or revoked if the problem is solved and you no longer wish to grant access. This Token accommodates EU GDPR compliance. When contacting Monnit Support, you may be asked for an Access Token in order for the support agent to verify that you have access to the account, and to allow temporary access to the support agent.

An Access Token is an alphanumerical code valid for 24 hours so Monnit support can assist with issues on the account. It can be extended or revoked if the problem is solved and you no longer wish to grant access.

Steps

Log into your iMonnit Online account.

  1. Click Settings in the bottom left-hand portion of the sidebar.
  2. Scroll down to the Subscription section and select the Generate Token button.

  1. Provide the token to the support agent to access your account.

The code will automatically expire in 24 hours. Selecting the Extend button will grant a one time week-long extension period before mandatory expiration. Choose the Revoke Token button to end access prior to the expiration date.
