Starting the iMonnit Express 4 Service

The iMonnit Express 4 software operates a web server and accepts communication based on a Windows service. The small web server that runs with the server is a Kestrel web server accessible by accessing the “localhost” address. The service also accepts incoming gateway traffic on TCP and UDP port 3000. Therefore TCP ports 80 (HTTP), 443 (HTTPS), and TCP/UDP 3000 (Gateway traffic) most be open and available in order for the service to run. There must also not be a separate website hosted on the server in IIS.

Summary of Steps

  1. Launch the Services.msc program in Windows (Administrator privileges required).
    • click the Windows search
    • type “services”
    • click the gear icon for “Services”

      (Alternatively, you can hold Windows key + R, type services.msc, and press Return)

  2. Locate the iMonnit Express service in the list.
  3. Right click the service.
  4. Select the Start option.
