Window Filtering on Supported Sensors

Window Filtering on Sensors that support a configurable Window Filter

Some Monnit sensors, such as the Wireless Vibration Meter, offer a Window filter that will be used to filter readings on the sensor level. Adjusting this filter to your application can help use our sensors per your application. Although suggestions as to which filter to use for which application is not provided by Monnit, an Applications Engineer might be a useful resource if you seek such guidance. The following information may be useful in determining which filter might be appropriate for your application.

Hanning filter can be useful for low frequency signals. Both Flat Top and Hanning help reduce spectral leakage of random signals. Rectangular indicates no window function is applied.
