Business Impact Award

Partnership with 3rd Stone Design and Hadleigh Health Technologies Recognized for Successful Medical Device Monitoring Solution

Salt Lake City—May 23, 2023—Monnit announced today that they have received a 2023 Business Impact Award from IoT Evolution magazine, the leading publication covering IoT technologies.

The award honors organizations for their IoT deployment case studies. Monnit was recognized for its successful partnership bringing IoT functionality to sister companies—3rd Stone Design and Hadleigh Health Technologies.

"Thank you, IoT Evolution, for recognizing our support of the impactful work 3rd Stone Design and Hadleigh Health Technologies are doing with the NEST360 Alliance in neonatal intensive care units in sub-Saharan Africa," said Monnit Founder and CEO Brad Walters. "It's an honor to help integrate Monnit Sensors and Cellular IoT Gateways into the Hadli Monitoring System."

Better Neonatal Health Care Through an IoT Medical Device Monitoring System

The medical devices that 3rd Stone Design and Hadleigh Health Technologies with the NEST360 Alliance work to provide, monitor, and service include critical NICU equipment for temperature stability, respiratory support, neonatal jaundice treatment, and other vital care.

The Monnit Internet of Things (IoT) Solution for Medical Device Monitoring includes two sensors, a cellular gateway, and cloud software. This IoT solution is featured in the Hadli Monitoring System from 3rd Stone Design and Hadleigh Health Technologies, which helps track and ensure life-sustaining neonatal medical devices connect to the IoT and are ready to provide proper care.

The IoT Components of the Hadli Monitoring System

The automated Hadli Monitoring System captures and shares actionable IoT data enabling strategic support of remote medical devices. The system includes:

  • The Hadli Device Monitor with a custom Monnit ALTA® 5-Amp Current Meter monitors medical device power use and outage frequency and duration.
  • The Hadli Wireless Humidity Sensor, based on the ALTA Wireless Humidity Sensor, monitors the climate conditions, including the temperature where medical devices are used.
  • The Hadli Cellular Gateway, based on an ALTA International Cellular Gateway, aggregates, protects, and communicates data sent from the Hadli Device Monitor and Humidity Sensor.
  • The Hadli Dashboard is a cloud monitoring software to configure and manage the IoT sensor network and system.

"It is my pleasure to recognize the Monnit IoT Solutions for Medical Device Monitoring and the Hadli Monitoring System, innovative solutions that earned Monnit the 2023 Business Impact Award for its work with 3rd Stone Design and Hadleigh Health Technologies," said Rich Tehrani, CEO, TMC. "I look forward to seeing more successful deployments of best-in-class solutions from these companies in the future."
