Behind the Curtain

WiSe Guys have been at it again, sneaking into the engineering lab to peek behind the curtain so we could get a glimpse of things to come. We thought we would share what we saw: A true, RMS line-power wireless sensor that autodetects line voltage (120v or 240v) and provides the ability to measure power consumption and current. We are certain this will be a great addition to the Monnit line of wireless sensors, allowing you to monitor line-power via the MonnitSphere online monitoring and notification system.

Using Monnit Wireless Water Sensors to Monitor Water Heaters

First, some simple facts about water heaters.

• If a basement is not available, water heaters are typically placed in the attic.
• Drip pans will not hold 50 gallons of water.
• Water heaters do not typically have a built in monitoring or alarm system.
• We know you always wanted an indoor pool, but this may not be the right way to add one.

Monnit's low-cost, wireless water sensors provide 24 hour monitoring and notifications via SMS text msg or email. The minute any water is detected under the water heater, an alert is issued from the MonnitSphere sensor monitoring and notification system and a text message is sent to the recipients cell phone.
