SALT LAKE CITY February 20, 2020 — Monnit Corporation (monnit.com) today announced the release of iMonnit® HX, which allows sensors to report data as quickly as every minute. Ideal for mission-critical operations, iMonnit HX enables Monnit Wireless Sensors to have 1,440 heartbeats per day, providing a near-continual flow of valuable data for such things as critical temperatures and machine bearing performance.
Monnit defines a heartbeat interval as how often a sensor communicates its current status when in a non-alerting state. Until now, Monnit Wireless Sensors could only be configured for heartbeat intervals of 10 minutes or greater in the iMonnit Premiere cloud-based dashboard software.
“One-minute heartbeats help Monnit customers optimize operations and processes because faster heartbeats provide new insights,” said Brad Walters, Monnit CEO. “iMonnit HX can help manufacturers better regulate heavy machine usage quickly to alleviate costly repairs or downtime. Smaller operations, such as pharmacies can use one-minute sensor heartbeats to closely monitor the vulnerable substances that are susceptible to degradation or spoilage through exposure to minute temperature variations.”
Addressing customer requests for expedited sensor data reporting and opening up new markets for Monnit, iMonnit HX offers three pre-paid sensor heartbeat transmission tiers of 250,000, 1.3 million or 5.5 million credits. Credits are only utilized when faster heartbeats are necessary.
