New iMonnit PDF Reports Engine

Are you in a regulated industry, such as healthcare, food services, finance, legal, education, manufacturing, or government, that requires frequent printed proof in reports and data logs for compliance and record-keeping purposes?

If so, we've launched a PDF Reports Engine in iMonnit. As July progresses and by its end, you will be able to create a Portable Document Format (PDF) report using all 47 report templates across five categories. Previously, only reports in a comma-separated values (CSV) format were available.

Both file formats have unique advantages:

  • PDF reports excel at maintaining formatting and design, making them ideal for sharing finalized documents or reports for review and printing as intended.
  • CSV reports are perfect for data manipulation, analysis, and integration with other applications or systems due to their ease of editing and import capabilities.

In addition to offering 47 report templates in CSV and now PDF formats, we also create custom reports upon request through our software development professional services.

You can review how to create and configure reports in the updated video and article, Using Reports in iMonnit, if you want to make any changes to report formats or data points. You can also explore your reporting options using the Reports feature in the main iMonnit menu on the left.

You Have Options After Free Carrier SMS Shut Down

options other than SMS

As telecommunications carriers shut down their free email-to-text service features during the past year, we've worked to support you in iMonnit with other reliable alert options.

When a carrier turns off its free email-to-Short Message Service (SMS), for example, notifications configured in iMonnit of this type are automatically converted to email notifications.

If you prefer to receive text or push alerts instead of email, we recommend these alternative methods:

  1. Direct SMS—A dedicated SMS system that carriers offer with a per-message fee. You can see this option by selecting Credits > Notifications Credits from the main left menu.
  2. iMonnit App Push Notifications—Download and set up the iMonnit App to receive push notifications directly on your mobile device. It's free to use.

A voice call alert is also an option. Please adjust iMonnit settings to ensure sensor alert communication remains uninterrupted. If you have any questions or require assistance, please contact our support team.

You can configure alerts and choose how people receive them when creating or editing a Rule in iMonnit. See the video and read the article Create a Rule in iMonnit to learn how to select and edit Email, SMS, Voice, or Push preferences for alert recipients.
