Our ALTA Thermocouple Sensor relies on a needle-style K-Type Quick Connect Probe to measure hot, dry, wet, or damp environments like ovens, furnaces, boilers, food production, turbines, and more. The Soil Moisture Probe is essential for sensing soil conditions and delivering timely data from the field or greenhouse.
The 6-inch stainless steel K-Type Quick Connect Probe provides a temperature measurement range of -50°C to 260°C (-148°F to 500°F) and connects to a waterproof cable attached to the ALTA Thermocouple Sensor.
The resistive granular matrix moisture element and a thermistor-based temperature element combine to measure soil water tension (matric potential) and temperature in different soil types. The moisture element works similarly to a plant’s root by measuring water tension in its hydrophilic fabric-covered matrix material.
