Welcome to Utah sign, Best of State Medallion and Monnit Logo

SALT LAKE CITYApril 30, 2019 – Monnit’s wireless sensors and gateways have earned the 2019 Best in State (Utah) Award for Production & Manufacturing Hardware. The award recognizes Monnit® Wireless Sensors, Gateways, and Software for “Excelling and Surpassing All Else®”.

“The Best of State Award reflects more than just the performance of our wireless sensors, it reflects the greater community,” said Brad Walters, Monnit CEO. “Monnit’s remote monitoring solutions are undoubtedly the best-of-breed because they are engineered, assembled, and supported by Utah’s best and brightest, and this award recognizes that.”

About the Best of State Award

Best of State judges from academia, health care, hospitality, and business services evaluate products and services in 10 sectors ranging from sports/recreation to technology and dining. Judges evaluated achievement in the respective field, innovative approach, and dedication to quality of life in Utah.

“The Best of State Awards were created to recognize outstanding individuals, organizations, and businesses in Utah,” said Mark Layton, Best of State CEO. “By recognizing excellence in our community and sharing examples of success and triumph in so many worthy endeavors, we hope all will be inspired to reach a little higher, to try a little harder, and to work a little smarter for our dreams and goals.”

Competition for the Best of State production award was fierce as Utah is home to the Silicon Slopes—a global tech hub. This proximity means that there was an onslaught of tech-forward products vying for recognition, and it also means that the judges are experienced in recognizing superior technology.

Monnit Announces Industry-Leading 25-month NIST Certification for Wireless Temperature Sensors

Monnit 25-month NIST certificates

SALT LAKE CITYApril 26, 2019Monnit Corporation today announced the availability of wireless temperature sensors which are certified by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for an industry-leading 25 months. Previously, the longest certification available for Monnit products was 13 months.

Each sensor is sent to a licensed metrology lab and is provided with a Traceable Calibration Certification that meets the requirements and complies with ISO 17025 and ISO 9000 standards. The Traceable Certificate indicates that the product is traceable to standards provided NIST, a U.S. Government agency within the Commerce Department. When the certification has expired, customers may submit their sensors to Monnit for re-certification.

“We have been working toward this new certificate duration for several years and are excited about how it will help the many businesses using Monnit products to track temperatures and ensure regulatory compliance,” said Brad Walters, Monnit CEO. “Monnit provides set-it-and-forget-it solutions; now that the certification period is doubled, companies have more time to focus on business with fewer interruptions.”

Monnit NIST certificates include all of the information to meet today’s stringent accreditation demands, government specifications and ISO 9000 requirements. This information includes serial number, certificate number, model number, calibration test equipment, equipment serial number, equipment calibration due date, unit accuracy, uncertainty, unit test conditions, test points, individual unit’s specific test date, unit’s next calibration due date, tester’s name and signature of the metrology manager.
