SALT LAKE CITY – October 3, 2019 – Monnit Corporation (monnit.com) today announced the release of the ALTA® 0–10 VDC Voltage Meter designed to measure the voltage of another device, battery, or power supply with approximately 250 mV resolution. Ideal for commercial and industrial equipment, this sensor measures voltage up to 10 VDC once connected to the positive and ground terminals of the device or power source being monitored.
“The sensor offers greater resolution than other sensors with larger VDC ranges,” said Nick Mecham, Monnit VP of Business Development. “It also interfaces with many more analog devices than previous sensors thanks to a higher input impedance.”
The ALTA 0–10 VDC Voltage Meter complements Monnit’s existing line of ALTA enterprise-grade Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.
Voltage Meter Features
- Interfaces with batteries and devices up to 10 VDC
- Sensor resolution of ~250 mV
- Sensor accuracy of +/- 3.0% FS
- User-calibrated sensor accuracy of +/- 0.5% FS
- Input impedance of 250K allows interfacing with many analog devices
- Strain gauges
- Pressure transducers
ALTA products offer four times the wireless range (1,200+ feet, non-line-of-site) and much stronger battery life than traditional sensors (12+ years on two AA batteries). ALTA products also use Monnit’s Encrypt-RF® bank-level security, featuring 256-bit exchange and AES-128 CTR for all data messages.
All of Monnit’s wireless sensors include free basic iMonnit online sensor monitoring with SMS text and email alerting. For more information on Monnit’s ALTA sensors, gateways and remote monitoring software, call (801) 561-5555 or visit monnit.com/alta.
