New Motion+ Sensor

Available Now: The Classic Triple Threat Sensor

The ALTA® by Monnit Wireless Motion+ Sensor was recently unveiled as an undeniable triple threat to monitor—motion, ambient temperature, and relative humidity (RH). That’s three innovative yet essential sensing skills in one sensor to measure conditions in virtually any facility.

It’s a perfect monitoring solution for building occupancy, security, and comfort as people (and even animals) move in and out of various spaces. It’s easy to see that the Motion+ Sensor can be used in facility management from offices to restrooms to server rooms. But think of its application in hospitals, long-term care facilities, data centers, home health care, labs, hotels, warehouses, greenhouses, barns, kennels, and many more.

With the three-in-one ALTA Motion+ Sensor, you can monitor conditions in many scenarios, like:

  • Know how and when a room, area, or building is used and adjust conditions based upon occupancy.
  • Better care for the safety and comfort of patients, seniors, employees, and animals.
  • Optimize HVAC and comfort, mitigate mold, streamline cleaning, track access, and more.

See where the ALTA Motion+ Sensor can fit into your business.

3G sunset nears

Are You Ready For the AT&T 3G Sunset?

Don’t be left without IoT data services. AT&T will turn off its 3G network on February 22, 2022, so you can’t run your sensor network on an ALTA 3G Gateway after that date.*

It’s easy to upgrade to an ALTA 4G LTE Gateway, and now is the time to migrate to the 4G LTE Internet of Things (IoT) and device solutions. The Monnit team is ready to help you make your move to more advanced cellular networks.

See “The Countdown to the End of 3G Continues” to know which ALTA 4G LTE Cellular Gateway is right for you.

AT&T is shifting more resources to its 5G network like other carriers. The carrier continues to notify customers that they must upgrade to at least a 4G LTE-enabled device before its 3G network shuts down.

Connect to a 4G LTE cellular network with our ALTA 4G LTE Gateway. Please call and talk to a Monnit Sales Representative today at 801.561.5555 or email the sales team at info@monnit.com.

*Applies only to ALTA 3G Cellular Gateways in the United States. 3G gateways deployed internationally are not affected.

Price Increase

price increases coming

Buy Monnit Remote Monitoring Solutions Before Prices Go Up

Due to unfavorable market conditions and rising costs for everything from sensing components to fuel to inflation, we will increase prices across all products on February 10.

We’re balancing this act of raising prices in the slightest way possible to maintain high product and service quality. To avoid a higher price, we encourage everyone to save by placing their orders now and before that date.

We value our relationship with you and appreciate your understanding as we navigate the future together. We remain steadfast in offering the best wireless, low-power, and long-range sensors with our innovative gateways and software.

Please feel free to discuss this price increase and how we can help with your remote monitoring plans with your sales representative. See the “Prices for Monnit Remote Monitoring Solutions Will Rise in February” blog post for more details about global supply chain issues and the price increase.

Tech Tip: Set Up Actions in iMonnit for Refrigeration Systems

Watch this short how-to video to set up Actions in iMonnit that help you track temperatures and more in refrigeration systems. Actions are essential for reactive and predictive remote monitoring. Creating Actions in iMonnit will trigger alerts or notifications on your mobile device to help you actively monitor critical changes and the status of your refrigeration system.

In this video, you will:

  • Learn how to set thresholds and ranges that, when breached, will prompt an Action.
  • Decide what triggers different actions, such as a Standard or Low Temperature Sensor reading in a refrigerator or freezer.
  • Avoid being notified every time a refrigeration unit is opened and specify critical Action triggers.
