Wireless Dry Contact Sensors

Lose contact? Know instantly.

Monnit’s Wireless Dry Contact Sensors detect if contact is made, or broken, between two wired points.

This sensor remotely monitors production line operation, tracks when a forklift’s seat is occupied, or alerts you if a gate was left open. To support small business, enterprise, and industrial firms, a Power over Ethernet and three wireless sensor types are available.

How Dry Contact Sensors Work

Within 15 minutes, the sensor can be mounted and wired to two endpoints (such as existing switches or contact plates). Be alerted via email, text, or call if a contact is broken (indicating that the points are no longer touching) or if the two points make contact when they shouldn’t be.

Retrofit one of the sensors below and bring new life (and intelligence) to equipment. Start remotely monitoring actuation, usage, and security today!

WARNING: Use caution when interfacing to ALTA Dry Contact Sensors. Any external AC or DC Voltages WILL DAMAGE the electronics of the wireless sensor. Monnit is not responsible for troubleshooting, replacing or reimbursing damages incurred by disregarding this warning.

Which Sensor is Right For Me?

Which Sensor is right for me?

  • Enterprise AA-battery powered: Our most popular type is ideal for typical commercial & enterprise environments, such as server rooms. A 1,200+ ft. range readily covers most facilities.
  • CC-battery powered: Compact sensor is great for space-restricted areas such as control cabinets or cold storage.
  • Industrial: Sensor's weatherproof, NEMA-rated enclosure withstands demanding indoor/outdoor use, e.g., warehouses & production facilities.
  • PoE•X: Power over Ethernet sensors integrate with a building's PoE network; it can also be used with a standard Ethernet infrastructure & powered via an optional AC adapter.
  • MoWi: This discreet sensor uses your own Wi-Fi for networking and data transmission—popular for smaller businesses and facilities.
