Moving Wireless Sensors or Gateways From One Network to Another - In iMonnit Online Classic View

Summary:

The process to move a gateway or sensor is to simply add the device to the network you want it on. By adding a gateway or sensor to a new network, it will automatically be removed from the old network.

  1. Moving Wireless Gateways
  • On the drop down list under “Overview” select the network from where you want to move the gateway.

Select Network

  • Click the “Manage” tab in the blue navigation bar.
  • Locate the gateway you wish to move.
  • Beneath the “Add Gateway” button are four icons for each gateway, click the icon of the box with the arrow pointing up and right in the row for the gateway you want to move.

  • Select the network where you would like to move the gateway.
  • Click “Assign Gateway”.

  • Locate the sensor you wish to move.
  • Beneath the “Add Sensor” button are four icons for each sensor, click the icon of the box with the arrow pointing up and right in the row for the sensor you want to move.

  • Select the network where you would like to move the sensor.
  • Click “Assign Sensor”.

Repeat this process to add more sensors to this network.

  • Power cycle the gateway to update the gateway’s stored sensor list.
