Hot-Swap Your Way to Smarter NIST Compliance
A new 30% incentive can help you upgrade to NIST Detachable Leads and ALTA® Sensor Bases.
Simplify Recertification
When recertification requires removing an entire sensor, maintaining calibrated, traceable temperature and humidity monitoring can be time-consuming and less cost-effective. Monnit's new NIST Detachable Leads streamline this process.
- Disconnect the lead.
- Keep the sensor base installed.
- Connect a newly calibrated and NIST-certified lead.
Calibration and NIST traceability travel with the detachable lead, while the sensor housing remains in place. This helps reduce service interruptions, maintenance labor, and costs.
Save 30% on Your Upgrade
The incentive is designed for Monnit customers using NIST-certified ALTA Standard Temperature, Low Temperature, or Humidity Sensors. Eligible customers can purchase NIST Detachable Leads and ALTA Sensor Bases, get NIST certification, and save 30% on the cost of the leads and bases.
Why Make the Switch?
NIST Detachable Leads help organizations:
- Hot-swap a certified lead rather than replace the entire sensor.
- Reduce monitoring interruptions during recertification.
- Simplify calibration and traceability management.
- Reduce maintenance labor and equipment costs.
Built for Traceable Monitoring
Each NIST Detachable Lead is uniquely calibrated, with embedded memory storing identification and calibration values. A sealed, keyed M8 6-pin connector provides a secure connection to compatible ALTA Sensor Bases.
Once connected, the lead and sensor operate in iMonnit® Software as a certified sensor. iMonnit also records lead connection and disconnection events.
Ideal for Critical Monitoring
NIST Detachable Leads support organizations that rely on documented environmental measurements, including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, laboratories, food processing, and manufacturing.
Upgrade Now
For customers approaching their next NIST recertification cycle, the 30% incentive offers an opportunity to adopt a simpler architecture. Keep the ALTA Sensor Base installed and swap certified leads as needed.

Make Voltage Data Work Smarter
The new ALTA® Wireless 0–20 VDC Interface Volt Meter transforms existing equipment into connected, monitorable assets, enabling maintenance teams to detect problems earlier, reduce downtime, and make smarter decisions.
Industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and OEM equipment often generate valuable DC voltage signals from batteries, transducers, motors, control systems, and other equipment. Without continuous monitoring, changes can go unnoticed until they cause equipment problems or unexpected downtime.
The new ALTA Wireless 0–20 VDC Interface Volt Meter provides a simple way to turn those signals into actionable data. It measures DC voltage up to 20 VDC and wirelessly transmits measurements through an ALTA or ALTA XL® Gateway to iMonnit™.
Why Monitor Voltage?
Unexpected voltage changes can provide an early indication of:
- Battery degradation or power-supply issues
- Motor or electrical component problems
- Sensor and transducer faults
- Wiring or control-system abnormalities
Instead of relying on periodic manual measurements, maintenance teams can continuously monitor voltage trends and receive alerts when readings exceed defined thresholds. Push notifications, texts, emails, and phone calls can help personnel respond before a developing issue leads to costly downtime.
Put Voltage Data to Work
The ALTA Wireless 0–20 VDC Interface Volt Meter offers a new way to gain visibility into equipment health without adding complexity. By continuously monitoring voltage, organizations can detect changing conditions earlier, improve maintenance planning, reduce unexpected downtime, and make better use of existing equipment.
Don't wait for equipment to fail to discover that something is wrong. Start monitoring the voltage signals that can tell you what's happening before failure occurs.

Keep ALTA Sensor Firmware Updated
Last month, we previewed upcoming firmware over-the-air (FOTA) updates coming to various ALTA® Sensors and Gateways through iMonnit. Here's a reminder of how to get these updates. This way, you can keep ALTA Sensors up to date with the latest features, security, and connectivity.
An iMonnit® dashboard helps you quickly see which sensors have updates available. Then, in one or two clicks, iMonnit sends the update commands and data through the ALTA Gateway to the sensors.
The iMonnit dashboard will track the update and show you the status and progress. This Monnit Knowledgebase article explains how ALTA Sensor FOTA updates work and what you'll see and experience during them.
In this article, you will learn:
- The sensor requirements for FOTA updates.
- The steps to perform the sensor FOTA updates.
- What to do after the FOTA update process.
