All-new ALTA Digital Temperature Sensor

ALTA digital temperature sensor

On-unit LCD Provides Redundant Data Delivery

At the push of a button, Monnit Corporation’s new ALTA Digital Temperature Sensor instantly displays current temperatures for any deployment of the temperature sensor where local on-screen readings are required. The sensor features a front-mounted, four-digit display with On/Off and “read” buttons—the latter enables local temp checks without online access. Should a facility lose power, users can view freezer, walk-in and reach-in refrigeration temps as often as needed.

“Launching the Digital Temperature Sensor gives users one more way to protect invaluable research or protect costly inventory,” said Brad Walters, Monnit CEO. “The digital readout provides entire departments with at-a-glance data for action, while meeting industry-specific regulations.”

Users can configure the Digital Temperature Sensor’s notifications, alerts, data logging, reports, and maps via iMonnit software platforms. If temps deviate from preset thresholds, an alert is issued via text, email, or call. In addition to automated data logging, users can manually trigger temperature data transmission via push-button. The sensor has a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C (-40°F to +257°F).

Meeting Data Redundancy Requirements
The Digital Temperature Sensor’s display and its “read” button also help healthcare professionals fulfill new regulations. Remote temperature monitoring solutions used for tracking sensitive medications must provide a redundant method for retrieving data—such as a push-button. Monnit’s sensor also supports 21 CFR Part 11B programs that stem from the FDA requiring pharmaceutical companies and suppliers to implement document integrity controls.

Turnkey Temperature Monitoring
Truly plug-and-play, Monnit’s Digital Temperature Sensor can be installed and running within 15 minutes—for additional installation flexibility, both 3’ and 10’ temperature probe leads are available. Based on the award-winning ALTA remote monitoring platform, the digital sensor offers a 720+ ft. data transmission range to and bank-grade data security.
