The IoT Leader is Among the Top 10 Organizations Honored by the Best of State Awards Program in 2026
SALT LAKE CITY—June 22, 2026—Monnit, an Internet of Things (IoT) sensor technology leader, was recently awarded a Best of State Statue, the BOSS®, as the overall winner in the annual awards program's Science & Technology division.
Best of State Medal winners in each of the 10 Best of State Awards Program divisions are evaluated to determine which Medal winner is the most outstanding.
The BOSS is then awarded to the Best of the Best® in each division. The BOSS is a 20-pound, solid bronze, 24-karat gold-plated sculpture standing atop a black granite pedestal on a gold-plated bronze base. Encircling the base is the Best of State tagline, Excelling and Surpassing All Else®, in raised, cast 3-D metal lettering.
“It's an unexpected honor to be recognized among the top 10 companies in the Best of State Awards Program this year,” said Monnit Founder and CEO Brad Walters. “The Science & Technology, as well as the Production & Manufacturing medals we won, are a fitting and valuable honor, but to win a BOSS is a rewarding prize for everyone here at Monnit. Thank you to the Best of State organization, judges, and President Michael Layton.”
The Best of State Awards honor organizations that excel in their endeavors, use innovative methods, and contribute to a better quality of life.
Turn Physical Conditions into Actionable Operational Intelligence
Every organization depends on timely, accurate operational data. Monnit makes it easy to collect that data by enabling remote monitoring of your equipment, environments, and assets. From ultralow-temperature (ULT) vaccine freezers and walk-in coolers to manufacturing equipment, server rooms, and critical infrastructure, Monnit helps organizations identify problems early and respond before they become costly disruptions.
Monnit's IoT platform combines 80+ wireless, Wi-Fi, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) sensors, secure gateways for wireless sensor networks, and iMonnit® cloud, mobile, and on-premises software to deliver real-time visibility into your operations. When monitored conditions move outside your defined thresholds, iMonnit immediately sends alerts via text, email, push notification, or voice call so you can take corrective action.
Fast Deployment & Insight
A complete Monnit monitoring solution can typically be installed and configured in as little as 15 minutes. Sensors mount on or near the monitored asset, and intuitive software eliminates the need for specialized programming or IT expertise. View live data, historical trends, and alerts on your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer.
Long-Range Wireless Performance
Monnit's ALTA® Wireless Sensors deliver reliable long-range communications, exceptional battery life, and enterprise-grade security. When paired with an ALTA XL® IoT or Ethernet Gateway, the sensors communicate over distances exceeding 2,000 feet through 18+ walls or up to one mile line-of-sight, making them ideal for large facilities, campuses, industrial sites, and remote locations.
